The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation organized an inspiring open lesson with 7th-grade students at 90th Secondary School “General José de San Martín,” held as part of the “Championing your health” program. The initiative is part of the foundation’s long-term mission to promote a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, and the development of sustainable habits among young people in Bulgaria.
The event took place in an interactive and motivating atmosphere, giving students the opportunity to actively participate in various practical tasks and discussions. They were divided into teams and worked on key topics such as balanced nutrition, the importance of quality rest, physical activity, and building a strong “champion mindset.” Additional focus was placed on disease prevention, the importance of regular health check-ups, and the role of vaccines in protecting both individual and public health. Students discussed how informed decisions and timely health care can help prevent risks and improve overall quality of life.
A special source of inspiration for the students was the video series “Literally with Grisho,” created with the participation of Grigor Dimitrov. Through it, the young participants learned about his personal journey, as well as the discipline and perseverance behind his achievements. The videos served as a starting point for discussions on motivation, responsibility, and the importance of making healthy choices in everyday life.
During the lesson, students not only gained new knowledge but also developed skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and self-reflection. They presented their ideas and solutions to their classmates, which further encouraged active participation and built their confidence.
The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation continues to implement similar initiatives in schools across the country, aiming to reach more young people and inspire them to lead active, balanced, and mindful lifestyles.
