THE GRIGOR DIMITROV FOUNDATION

Empowering Dreams. Inspiring Futures.

Born from gratitude, built for children’s dreams. The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation supports Bulgarian children and their potential.

Grigor created it to pass on the belief and help he once received – because he knows how life-changing support can be.

Through sport, education, health, science, technology, and the arts, the Foundation helps young people grow confident, resilient, and ready for what’s next.

As Grigor says:

“It doesn’t matter where you’re from, anything is possible with the right tenacity and love for the game.”

Through the Foundation, he invites others to believe in children, in their potential, and in the power of faith to change a life.

“Fuel for Champions”

“Fuel for Champions”

Small habits create great champions.

In 2026, the Grigor Dimitrov Foundation launches a new initiative, “Fuel for Champions” – a program that will encourage children to move more, eat better, and build healthy daily habits.

Today, 32% of seven-year-old children in Bulgaria are overweight, and more and more children are spending their time in front of screens instead of being physically active. That is why we believe change starts with small choices every day.

“A champion is not made easily. It is the small choices we make every day – to move more, eat better, and be disciplined.” – Grigor Dimitrov

With the “Fuel for Champions” program, we will reach even more children through:

  • practical exercises and activities
  • digital educational resources
  • open lessons
  • еxercises selected by conditioning coach Sebastian Duran.

We thank all partners, teachers, and parents who are part of this mission. Together, we are building a healthier, more confident, and more active generation.

The “Grigor Dimitrov Foundation,” in partnership with Tennis Club Haskovo 2015, is organizing a tennis tournament to select two children who will be sent to a training camp at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy in September.

The tournament will be held under the foundation’s “Become a Champion” program.

All children up to 12 years old who are Bulgarian citizens may participate, regardless of whether they are registered competitive players.

Every Bulgarian child up to the age of 12 who wishes to participate is welcome!

The competition will take place from May 22 to May 25, 2026, on the tennis courts of Tennis Club Haskovo 2015, located in Kenana Park, Tennis Courts Complex, in the city of Haskovo.

The winners of the tournament—one boy and one girl—will be sent to a training camp at the Patrick Mouratoglou Academy. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the foundation of the Bulgarian tennis player. At the academy, the children will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience, as well as to meet major names in world tennis who can inspire them.

We remind you that last year, 11-year-olds Kaira Alexieva and Mitko Genov from Tennis Club Haskovo 2015 were sent under the same program to train and prepare at the prestigious academy. Оpen Lesson- Championing your Health

Оpen Lesson- Championing your Health

The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation organized an inspiring open lesson with 7th-grade students at 90th Secondary School “General José de San Martín,” held as part of the “Championing your health” program. The initiative is part of the foundation’s long-term mission to promote a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, and the development of sustainable habits among young people in Bulgaria.

The event took place in an interactive and motivating atmosphere, giving students the opportunity to actively participate in various practical tasks and discussions. They were divided into teams and worked on key topics such as balanced nutrition, the importance of quality rest, physical activity, and building a strong “champion mindset.” Additional focus was placed on disease prevention, the importance of regular health check-ups, and the role of vaccines in protecting both individual and public health. Students discussed how informed decisions and timely health care can help prevent risks and improve overall quality of life.

A special source of inspiration for the students was the video series “Literally with Grisho,” created with the participation of Grigor Dimitrov. Through it, the young participants learned about his personal journey, as well as the discipline and perseverance behind his achievements. The videos served as a starting point for discussions on motivation, responsibility, and the importance of making healthy choices in everyday life.

During the lesson, students not only gained new knowledge but also developed skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and self-reflection. They presented their ideas and solutions to their classmates, which further encouraged active participation and built their confidence.

The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation continues to implement similar initiatives in schools across the country, aiming to reach more young people and inspire them to lead active, balanced, and mindful lifestyles.

Open Lessons

Open Lessons

The Grigor Dimitrov Foundation held another open lesson under the “Championing your health” programme

Students from the first and seventh grades of “St. St. Kiril and Metodii” Primary School in Haskovo took part in an open lesson under
the the “Championing your health” programme of the Grigor Dimitrov Foundation. The event is part of a series of open lessons that the foundation plans to hold in various schools across the country. The initiative is dedicated to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children.

The open lesson was developed and conducted in partnership with the Teach For Bulgaria Foundation. The students were divided into groups and worked on topics from the video series “Literally with Grisho”, created in partnership with the educational platform Ucha.se. The children discussed why taking care of their health is so important, how a champion’s mindset is built, how to eat healthily, and how rest can be a path to success.

Each group shared their experiences and impressions, as well as what they had learned from the lessons. All the children also received an autograph card with 10 tips for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle from Grigor Dimitrov.
